I was really humbled by how well my Custom Movie Collection was received, even by people who didn’t like the movie. I decided I had to add the Stingers and other supporting characters to the mix! How would they look in the Movie-verse?
The Stingers
You’ll notice I abandoned the signature black/yellow palette. There’s already enough black in the movie Holograms and Misfits, and I wanted the Stingers to stand out. So I went for purple/gold, instead.
Taking inspiration from the IDW comic book, Raya starts as a Stingers. And, since in the movie Jetta is Latina, this Raya is a Blonde British Beauty.

British drummer Sheila “Raya” Burns shared a small apartment in Berlin with French guitarist Rapture when they both joined the Stingers, a duo formed by Welsh singer Riot and German keyboard player Minx. Yet, she never really fitted in.
She tries too hard to do so. She even gets close to Riot at some point. Too close! Minx does NOT like it and, soon after the Stingers hit it big in the US, she makes sure Rapture helps her to bully Raya out.

Video
The Montgomery cousins look alike, but they couldn’t be more different!
Vivien was one of the first to notice Jem’s mysterious YouTube video and helped make it go viral with her huge following of film-makers and musicians. After directing a couple of Jem and the Holograms’ music videos, she quickly became close friends with them.
She had a crush on screenwriter and film director Anthony Julian since their film school years. She was just about to tell him, when he started dating Shana of the Holograms. Out of friendship and extreme loyalty, she suppressed her feelings so well, Anthony now thinks she hates him. But what will happen when Shana takes a break from the Holograms to pursue a career as a fashion designer in Paris?

Clash
Constance was devastated when the Misfits got dropped by Starlight Enterprises and briefly left the music scene. But that gave her the opportunity to get close to them. Don’t you just love social media? When Erica brought the Misfits back to destroy Jem and the Holograms, “Clash” saw it as an opportunity to show her worth and cause trouble to her cousin in the process.
A genius of disguise, Clash can range from the shy Sarah Mergomont, a music vlogger who wants to follow Jem and the Holograms on tour, to the outrageous Cindy Tucker, self-proclaimed “biggest Holograms fan” who offers to run the band’s social media platforms.
But Clash gives her worst when paired up with mysterious hacker Techrat. They made her a purse that is actually an audio-video jammer that she can activate when her bracelets touch. Don’t call her a Misfits’ groupie. She’s way past that! She’s the Hologram’s worst nightmare!

Anthony Julian
Action!
Five years later, Anthony and Video are still fighting about who noticed Jem’s YouTube video first. Though he’s mainly focusing on his screenwriting career, waiting to direct his first blockbuster movie, Anthony will always cherish his first steps in the business as a music-video director.
An eclectic personality, Anthony was believed to become the next Stevie Wonder by anyone who heard him sing in his church. But don’t bother to ask him: he won’t sing for you. His love for music is stronger than ever, though, especially since he started dating Shana of the Holograms. But what will happen when Shana takes a break from the Holograms to pursue a career as a fashion designer in Paris? Will Video finally confess the feelings she’s been having for him since film-school?

Danse
It takes work!
When the Holograms needed a choreographer for a concert and Aja showed up with her friend Giselle in a wheelchair, it got pretty awkward. Even for open-minded Jerrica. But the four sisters soon realized she had all that it takes and even more. Maybe too much! With the help of her assistant Cisco, Giselle thought the girls so much more than routines. She was a model of commitment, strength, courage, stamina and showed them the true meaning of... sweat!
Jerrica decided to include her in their concert and gave her the stage name of “Danse”. Her wheelchair number was unbelievable, and the sweet, unplugged a cappella vocals made sure the audience would focus all their attention on this new shining star.
Now that she’s literally back on her feet, you’ll often see her sharing the stage with Jem and the Holograms or bringing some poetry in motion to their music videos. Giselle will never fully recover from her accident, but, when you see her Danse... you won’t be able to tell.

Techrat
“Don’t touch me!”
Little is known about the mysterious hacker who goes by the name of Techrat. Even Erica is not too sure why they’re so eager to help her with her mischievous plans, but she has a good nose for these things and she knows it’s not only about money. Are they closeted Misfits fans? Is there more behind their brain/brawn relationship with Clash?
Don’t try to understand Techrat: they’re the personification of contradiction. They’re a germaphobe, but a chain smoker; they’re a sociopath, but an attention seeker; they’re vegan, but they stock piles of beef jerky in their apocalypse-ready bunker. Techrat is not easy to deal with, but the skills they bring to the table are so unique everyone is willing to comply, including Pizazz.

Elise AKA Astral
From magician to businesswoman. Friend or foe?
After a successful career as an illusionist in Las Vegas, where she used to perform as “Astral”, Elise Eldritch moved to LA and opened Astral Recordings, which soon became the favorite rehearsal venue / recording studio for Starlight Enterprises artists. That’s where Jem and The Holograms rehearsed for their first pop-up concert at Open Air Club.
When Rio took over Starlight, he kept relying on Astral Recordings and trusting Elise. Little does he know his mother Erica has some dirt on Elise and forces her to make sure Jem and The Holograms run into constant setbacks. Elise has more than a trick up her sleeve and none of her actions can ever be directly linked to her company or her employees. More often than not, Techrat just makes her job easier.
Will working as a double agent eventually pay off for Elise or will it be the end of Astral?

Synergy
"As you wish!"
When Aja realized what Synergy could do, when connected to Jerrica’s earrings, she felt so bad for making fun of “that old piece of junk” for so many years. So she kept exploring and hacking and digging into its secrets to figure out Emmett Benton’s original plan.
Within a few months, the holograms projected by Synergy became more and more realistic and Aja, with the visual aid of Shana, even designed a more detailed persona for “her”. With the upgrade came a voice that Jerrica and Kimber found very familiar.
Now each Hologram has Synergy’s interface hidden in bracelets, chokers, and different accessories designed by Shana and engineered by Aja. Its audio-video projections not only make Jem and The Hologram’s performances and music videos unique (and under budget), but they’re also useful to fight back whenever the Misfits decide to cause trouble.
But will everybody protect this mysterious technology and make the best use of it?

Kimber & Stormer
"Back To Back"
When Jem and The Holograms are asked to perform with the Misfits for a benefit event both bands really care for, Kimber and Stormer are sort of forced to work together to compose the perfect song for the concert. Much to their surprise, the two find the collab so stimulating that they decide to release a full album together.
During the “Back To Back Tour”, Stormer realizes her interest in Kimber is so much more than just a professional and artistic one. Kimber’s liveliness, forthcoming attitude and her sometimes excessive display of affection make Stormer believe her feelings are reciprocated, while Kimber is on a totally different planet, trying to figure out which guy she likes most. When Stormer accuses Kimber of leading her on, it’s the point of no return. The musical spell of truce is broken and the Misfits have one more reason to despise Jem and the Holograms.
